Sing With Me: How Great is Our God

Open up a new window, click on this link, minimize and listen while you enjoy this post. I haven't taken the time to figure out how to add videos or music to my posts.

I took a hike with a few of my favorite people in the whole wide world this past weekend and we came upon another one of those sights that immediately thrusts my heart into praise and worship.

I love it when that happens!

God was speaking to his chosen people
when he said,

"For I will pour water on the thirsty land,
and streams on the dry ground;
I will pour out my Spirit
on your offspring,
and my blessing on your descendants.
They will spring up like grass
in a meadow,
like poplar trees by flowing streams."

-

- humble yourselves before the one
true and mighty and holy God

Which brings us to the aforementioned worshipful sight we found: this waterfall.
-

Sing for joy, O heavens, for the LORD has done this; shout aloud, O earth beneath. Burst into song, you mountains, you forests and all your trees, for the LORD has redeemed Jacob, he displays his glory in Israel. - Isaiah 44:23
- -
Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth; burst into song, O mountains!
For the LORD comforts his people
and will have compassion
on his afflicted ones.
- Isaiah 49:13

--
You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. - Isaiah 55:12

The next time you are hiking in the woods,
think about the trees clapping their hands
and the mountains bursting into song. -
Just look at that waterfall -- is that not the mountain bursting into song??

Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. -- ----- - Psalm 100
