Quid Nunc

...which being literally interpreted means: "What now?"
-
The Quiddler Party Train has come to a screeching stop.
-
So.
-
You know how I've been working hard to spread Quiddler love all over the eastern US? Well, I spread it to Port Charlotte, FL, over Christmas.
-
Mmmnnt. Poor ol Quiddler wasn't received well.
-

For your amusement & much to my own painful chagrin, here are actual comments from our game:
-

-

-

"C'mon, Goofball, we all gotta play!"

-

--

--

--

Do we start with Marj this time?

"Annnh, it doesn't matter, we all like it about the same."

-

"I really don't care for Quiddler."

-

"If we play this at the family reunion, I am not playing.
If you want a fight at the family reunion, play this game."

-

"I Quit! I Quit, I Quit, I Quit!!!"

-

-

"This game stinks."

"You need to play with a lot of dumb people."

"On a scale of 1-10, this game is a 1."

-

"Nue. On the advice of my wise Aunt Kathy, this is a word."

"It's the kind of game you can play once -- the first & last time."

-

So...
as I said so eloquently in Latin.... What now? I love Quiddler. I feel like I'm a teenager again and the peer pressure is nasty. But I won't back down. I'm gonna stand my ground. (is anyone else breaking into song here?)

What in the world is Quiddler? Never heard of it except on this blog. Is it anything like "Apples to Apples"? I would most likely fall in the group that you would not get to play it. I'm a wet noodle when it comes to playing games.

WOW so much venom from so many people! Could it be that they are just sore losers? Can't spell? Don't know how to use a dictionary? I bet if they are winning they sing a different tune, oh yea, like "I am woman, hear me roar", or "macho macho man"!

I was about to get upset, introducing you to it and all, then I see that you still love it. That's all that really matters, that we intellectuals stick together. Ha!

Hey Driftwood - it is not like Apples to Apples, but I did get introduced to that game over Christmas. It was a lot of fun, and certainly ANY IQ can play it! Ha! Just trying to stir it up a bit...

=)

Seeker: My IQ is so low you would have to make up a new category to put me in. I see you are from Wagener so are you related to Val?

Related to Val? No. We share a shrink...that's all.

(tee hee just kiddin'!)

I bought Quiddler for our family and my Dad and we played it for the first time in FL. It wasn't received too well, but I'm going to try it with a different group of people!!!!
