In Which We Bring Back Cousin David

-
-

So I went to Charlotte this past weekend to spend some time with mom & dad.
-
And look here, who's right there barging into our family photos?? Cousin David.
-
I know. You almost forgot about him. It's been awhile since he's been around. Maybe he's been working hard or something. Maybe we haven't told him when we were getting together...

So here we were at Montereys on Harris Blvd. Love that Harris Blvd. The whole University area has come alive.
The Family loves Montereys. Here's what I can say: The service was quick, the food typical Mexican, the restaurant clean. I'm not a good judge of Mexican food. But they are and they like it.

Here's Nana offering to pay. However, we had to remind her prices aren't what they used to be. She better tuck that dollar bill away for some kid's chocolate bar fundraiser.

Here's Patti, Chelsea and Brian, lookin' good.

David's wife, Renee was quite occupied with the girls. Alexa and Eva had a blast, they were both so good, too!

Steve... he wasn't so good. Doesn't he look like a naughty little boy here? Well... not so much little boy though. OK, grumpy old man. But Lisa... me thinks she likes the naughty old man. Lisa has just a little too much fun whever she is.

We couldn't get out the door without doing this. . .

Then the girls had to pretend to be big shots paying the bill also. Errr.... maybe Marj is actually getting a last bite of dessert?

Who has broken into song now?
Sing with me now, "We are fam-i-ly.... I got cousin david with me....."

OK, Val---that was a good start to the song. Can't wait to hear the rest of the lyrics.

What a talent you are! I remember when you took piano lessons from me......very, very briefly. Was it the teacher?

You were so good, I didn't need many lessons! Girl, I can STILL play me some piano.

Ooops, there I go again, taking liberty with the facts.....

What! You can still play!

I must have been a marvelous teacher.

Whoops---there I go, taking liberty with the facts, too!

I love the photo of the day. Brings back a lot of good memories. The only problem is that there is only one of my fans left. It looks like she would be willing to pay to see my creative (liberty taking) comments. Seems that two of my favorite people are taking pot shots at me - anonymous (mrs drifty) and you spoof (not a misspelling). Keep the pictures of family coming seeing since most of my family on the Crocker side has moved south. To get away from me? I wonder.
