Nana's Anti-Aging Cream

Well I crossed the Catawba and headed for my Nana's. It's been awhile since I visited Nana and I needed to catch up on some Assisted Living Gossip.
-
I walked in and what a shock.
"Why, Nana! That anti-aging cream has done wonders!"
-
"And who's that beside you, that can't be Mildred?!"

-
Aw, they tricked me. It was Alexa and Emma.
-
And Emma presented me with a sweeet little treat.
Ooooo, I love me some Lexi & Emma.

I arrived at Nana's around 7:30 pm, just after dinner, and I completely surprised her. We went down into the sunroom and talked over the chatter of "Pretty Bird."

I left her at bedtime and went to my brother's for the night. We stayed up late chatting and smelling a terrific strawberry cake baking. I didn't question my sister in law why she was baking a yummy cake at midnight.
-
But the next day when I took Nana to Wendy's for lunch..... the yummy cake made an appearance. (something else seems to be making an appearance in this photo, too, Carleen, you could have told me)

In the absence of Cousin David, he sent his Ambassadors - Alexa and Renee. We had a great time catching up and eating cake.
-
If you're ever on Hwy 49 at Harrisburg, NC, in the parking lot of Monkey Joe's, do not go to that Wendy's. It was horrible. None of them seemed to know what they were doing.
-
-
We visited awhile, ate my cake and then it was time for me to get back on my side of the Mighty Catawba.
-
-
Renee and Carleen put some cake in a bag for my trip home, I sneaked Nana back into her recliner at The Home and buzzed south in my Mazda 6 (zoom zoom).

PS.... the Gossip? Let's see. Mrs. Rudgridge was missing at dinnertime. They thought she left without signing out, but later they found her suffering from breathing difficulties. The EMS arrived and goosed her a few times; she's good for 50,000 more miles or 3 months, whichever comes first. Mildred has garden fresh tomatoes she is liberally passing out in the activity room. (Mom - Gram has two in her secret stash - you might want to check on, lest they rot there) Mr. Nawsey's been chatting up Nell... I think he's up to something.

G'wannn. Your grandma has tomatoes in her secret stash? I thought the stash held candy and only candy!

I know - surprised me, too. But she still has plenty of chocolate, too. She has a shaker full of salt there, too, wonder if that's contraband?
