Oprah Winfrey just jumped all over my idea Blogging Butter's idea about the whole "what's in your pocketbook reveals who you are" theory behind our Sunday Satchel posts. We are such trendsetters!
Oprah had the ladies from The View on her show and asked them each to reveal what's in their pocketbook - or as we lovingly call - satchel.
Barbara Walters went first and pulled out an O Magazine.
Then she pulled out Donald Rumsfeld's book "Known and Unknown" . . .
while Whoopi said Barbara usually carries Donald Rumsfeld himself in her purse.
So Barbara's purse contained the above, plus:
- 8.5 x 11" white paper printout which was her "calendar" (OK, class, can we say "luddite?" )
- Blackberry
- Candy bar
Next up was Elizabeth and Sherri:
Elizabeth proudly pulled out the contents of her satchel:
- Banana
- Baby Binkey
- Pens stolen from Oprah's green room
- Sunglasses
- Apple
- Charger
- Deoderant
- Lip gloss
- Contacts
- Bits of trash
Sherri's contents:
- Hat for when she's not wearing her hair
- Vitamin D
- Lip gloss
- Towel stolen from Four Seasons
Joy's contents:
- Ipad
- Doctors Brush Picks (for flossing) (Joy said people who floss get 6 more years added to their life)
- CNN Pass
- Glasses
Whoopi: Whoopi doesn't carry a purse. Ever. If it can't fit in her pockets, she doesn't carry it.
