Turn Your Used Flip-Flops Into Playgrounds

I saw this the other day and it made me deliriously happy:  Through May 21, Old Navy will accept your old flip-flops and take them to TerraCycle where they will be recycled into playgrounds.

Simply deposit your used flip-flops in one of many colorful collection bins found inside Old Navy stores.   It's that easy.  As of this writing, TerraCycle is having some website issues, but you can find them on twitter @terracycle

Go ahead:  Rethink waste and have a positive impact on the environment, I dare you.  Besides, you know you need to get rid of all those nasty, chewed up rubber flip-flops smelling up your closet.

I would love to recycle my old flip-flops,any flip-flops,young or old,but....I dont wear them at all, they hurt my feet, anything between the toes just doesnt work well fo me!! But I sure hope they get a lot so they can build more playgrounds
