Imagination Movers Fall Tour and Rock-O-Matic Review

Imagination Movers' Rock-O-Matic CD and DVD was released earlier this year by Razor & Tie.  They are in the middle of their Fall Tour right now and I was given a set to review and
a set to offer in a give-away.

So of course I brought in my seven year old granddaughter to help me out.

The Emmy award winning New Orleans based Imagination Movers has been on the scene since 2003.  The group consists of Rich Collins, Scott Durbin (my granddaughter's favorite), Dave Poche and Scott “Smitty”
Smith.  The guys are positive, upbeat and high-energy.  The songs - on this CD - are a combination of rap and old school rock.  The message is positive and educational.  The tunes are catchy and you'll find yourself humming or singing along.

My granddaughter watched the DVD as well.  "It was great!" She said.  "I loved it.  They sang songs and had funny jokes."  I'm guessing the goal is to get kids up and moving and maybe teach them some manners along the way, however, it wasn't quite strong enough to get my girl up and moving.  She sat still the whole time, but still: she loved it.  I don't think I'll get my DVD back.

The Imagination Movers are on tour.  The show is a live, musical event that features on stage silliness and audience participation.  I think attending a show would be a great family activity with kids 3 - 9 or so.   Tour dates are below.  And?   A video in which the Imagination Movers teach you how to make a tambourine.  If you go to the show - take your tambourine!

For a chance to win your own Rock-O-Matic CD and DVD, leave me a comment AND send your name  in an email to planetpookie@yahoo.com.  I'll choose a winner in a random drawing on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.   Give Away Winner:  Since there were only two of you who entered, I am giving both of you a cd. Congrats and thanks for reading.  Check your emails for info.
