Dupont St. Forest: Sunday Worship

"Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me." -

Psalm 42:7

This past Sunday we were camping in the NC mountains and hiked to this gorgeous waterfall in Dupont State Forest. We spent at least half a day there and I couldn't help but feel like this was indeed Sunday Worship. What a way to worship. I even heard Tom S. singing worship songs periodically while I was reading Holiness by Grace and the children were sliding among the rocks. Here are some photos:

I was continuing in Bryan Chapell's "Holiness By Grace" . I thought it appropriate that I was reading these words as I sat in awe of this sight.

"The good news proclaimed in the Bible neither slights the seriousness of sin nor shades the wonders of the pardon and power God provides his people. This full gospel message must also characterize the attitudes of God's people, because those with whom we share Christ's living water will be affected by the springs from which we drink. If we are guilt-driven, then so will be our spouses, children, and coworkers. If we pretend to be guiltless, then we will encourage shameless behavior. However, if we exhibit joyful gratitude for the grace of God that pardons our guilt, then we will reproduce grateful believers who are zealous for God's purposes. The tears of confession and the joy of pardon are required to produce the gratitude that empowers the Christian life."

I enjoyed your beautiful thoughts and I could relax as I almost could feel the water rushing over me from the falls. Now I am falling asleep peacefully
