Easter Weekend I

Life has ganged up on me & attacked. I have been over my head this week and my "to-do" list is overwhelming.
-
I probably won't be posting on the blog for several days, but I wanted to leave you with several photos of our Easter Weekend.
-
Carleen organized a great egg hunt for the girls. Emma was obviously experienced, she was good. Eva was kind of new at this, she could stare at an egg and still not see it.
-
Without any prompting from adults, Emma began finding eggs and handing them to Eva, "Here, Eva, this one's for you," she'd say. It was so sweet.
-
We also spent some time on the horse. Here's Patti nuzzling up to Rebel. I think Patti misses the horses. Living away and being in Law School has limited her horse-riding time. I'll have more photos of them riding in a later post.

Carleen brought some clay and the girls made Easter ornaments. I think I'm gonna get some pins and glue one of Eva's on so I can wear it around like a proud Pookie.
-
-
-
I think the clay was Sculpey clay, which I've never used. It was colored, maleable and we baked it to harden it. When my kids were small, I had a recipe to make homemade clay.
-
We'd make the clay, mold it, cook it and then have to paint it. Sculpey is much easier.
-
-
Have another enjoyable weekend!

"What does the worker gain from his toil? I have seen the burden God has laid on men. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil—this is the gift of God. I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him." Eccl. 3:9-14

What! I am so naive. I pictured her chained to her desk with grocery store coffee at her elbow.

So much for my sympathy! Get home, Val, or the dog won't know you any more.
