I'll Be Home For Christmas . . .

. . . & New Years & President's Day & Valentime's Day .. & Easter . . & March Madness . . & Wednesdays . . & First and Third Mondays . . . . .
-
Don'cha just love going home? Back to Mama's home cookin', daddy's sage advice, kickin' your tires, checkin' your oil. Back where the door becomes a revolving door as friends and family constantly pop in.
-
Back where mom and dad always think you don't come home often enough & when you get back home, you find some cash stuffed in your suitcase.
-
Back where a family feud can begin over something little like
"how to cut the pizza right."
-

-
-
Back where when you're sick, you're gonna get you some lovin'.

Back where if you hide in the same exact spot every single time, it's still hard for the grownups to find you.

Back where the grownups aren't quite 100% technicalogically accomplished, so when you view your photos on the tv screen, you have to tilt over to see the portrait shots.
-
(psst.. look at our clothes here. one of us is a yankee on vacation and the other, an adopted southerner)

Back where they all say it's a "Valerie Sighting" party, absolutely in my honor, but really it's a "March Madness" party & they're captivated by the Carolina game.

Back where doing even the simplest of things can be a lot of fun:

-
-
-

Back where visiting Nana, taking her out to lunch is routine, helping her find the calendar that was hung on her wall for her, but was hung smack behind a wall shelving unit. No wonder she didn't know what day it was. Just Kidding! JK!! She knew what day it was. She's sharper than all of us put together.
-
-
Back where when four of us plan a dinner out, 9 - 13 show up. (Yes, it's cousin David here)
It doesn't get any better than that.

--Going home is like being a kid again. The worries are washed away, family pulls together, it's just a warm, fuzzy feelin' to go back home.
-
I hope my kids feel this way as they grow up and move out.

More on Family - Time.

What do you mean "mama's home cookin"? She tells me that she does not cook any more. By the way, who is that good looking guy in the upper right corner of the photo of the day? Perhaps your FATHER. Also what is this about money in your luggage. My folks never did that for me. Must be your folks are rich ex-IBMers.
