NC, Brevard: A Surprise Visit

-
My brother and I each had to travel 180 miles in order to bump into each other and spend some quality time together. So it was we found ourselves in the Pisgah neighborhood; he, in Hendersonville; I, in Pisgah. We met up one night in Brevard at the White Squirrel Festival for a Mexican dinner where, sadly, I left my fully-loaded tricked out pencil box.
-
After dinner, we enjoyed a lovely walk down a scenic and delightfully scented alley over to the concert area for the festival.
-
Whereupon Carleen discovered a Chocolate store.
-
-
And the girls were very, very happy.

This particular concert wasn't that great and there was a threat of rain in the air, so we packed up early and returned to camp.

Morning came early and brought possibly the best treat of the weekend: a surprise visit from Steve and Emma!

It was so nice to see them again.
We headed lakeside to look for fish and see if we could find Patti and Robby out in the canoe on the lake.

A little sum-somebody was missing her mommy so we peered ruthlessly into the sun & out into the far reaches of the lake and finally spotted . . .

.... well...... we think we spotted.......
(come a little closer, my pretties)

.... Yep! Patti and Robby!!!

And that, my weary friend, sums up our Memorial Day trip to the mountains. What was it 3, maybe 4 posts? But there is one more thing I think I forgot. One day when we went to check on Grayson and Tommy fishing, they were having a cute little picnic. I marvelled at their uniquely masculine choice of a picnic area.

...and that's all I have to say about that.

I LOVED these blogs, this way I can keep up with you guys, you're NEVER home! That trip looked like so much fun-----------did you buy my babies any chocolate?

Oh yes, they got plenty. I think Emma chose Mint Choc. Chip ice cream. I can't remember Eva's choice. But they went for something cold.

Thanks, Val! I agree w/the 1st anonymous. You afford me the pleasure of watching each of my boys when they're with ya'll. But the latest development is so exciting, and truly does my heart good. How 'bout you and Tom?
BTW, Eva's little face while looking for the canoe is too funny!
