That's What Friends are For: Cupcake Review

I've been doing cupcake reviews for a few years now, ever since that warm balmy night when I was touring Savannah on a horse carriage and we passed right by a Cupcake store.  I was entranced.  A real, live Cupcake store.  How cool is that?  I almost fell off the carriage leaning over the side.  Of course I went back, re-tracing our ride against approaching darkness and tried a few cupcakes.  I never knew such fancy flavors existed.

These days, cupcake shops are all over the place, quite the rage, and I try to review most of them.  All for you, my friend.

The other day, all my dreams were fulfilled when a fancy cupcake sampling came to me.  Home delivery.

That's true friendship when a friend knows the desires of your heart....
 (like the mortar and pestle!!) (I guess it's a little easier for a friend to know the desires of your heart when you splatter them all over the internet)  Aww, wait a minute here, I read my heart's desire linked at "splatter them all over" and then I read the link "mortar and pestle" and I see that the life changes I anticipated if I owned a mortar and pestle just didn't quite come true after I did, in fact, acquire a mortar and pestle.  Wow.  Now I'm so disappointed.

Give me a minute.
{heavy sigh}

So anyway, {medium sigh} where was I?  The cupcakes {warm smile}.  I got a call one day as I sat working on my computer.  Jen asked if she could pop over for a minute.  "Sure."  I shrugged.

Jen and her daughter came over with a combo sampler of some cupcakes they made.   This was truly most excellent.  She could open a cute and adorable little cupcake shop for sure.  Flavors included Banana Split, Cookies and Creme, Blueberry with Lemon Icing, Butterfinger, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip, and not pictured:  Rolo (Marj go the rolo in her part of the cupcake, I was robbed).

The Cookies and Creme was the best, we all agreed on that.  Blueberry with lemon icing got our second vote.  Third place went to Banana Split.

I guess this isn't much of a cupcake review.  But it sure is a friendship review.
A friend is someone who knows the song of your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words. -  Bernard Meltzer

Jen's going through a tough time right now and really needs us to sing the song of her heart back to her for awhile.  That's what friends are for.
